Fibromyalgia leaves its sufferers with chronic pain that affects their lives and can make it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Nancy Hamilton, associate professor of psychology at the University of Kansas, is researching the connection between sleep disorders and Fibromyalgia, with the goal of reducing patients’ pain. Hey, You are probably on to something. I have had sleep problems since I was young and it got worse as time passed, by age 48 or so it all tumbled down further. I was sleep deprived, in constant pain and depressed. My life as I knew had considerabled changed. I had to leave my job as a lab tech, and have been tested and jabbed so many times.
I have had sleep problems as long as i can remember. Sleep got really bad during college and Fibro diagnoses by 24. I also had a really bad neck injury at 17 so who knows what caused what. I just to live a more productive life, not be in constant pain, have chronic headaches and a ton of other symptoms too. Wish I was Kansas City… I would think about doing this.

Great Study!!!
I have FMS, I am in constant pain, no matter how much sleep I get.
Having fibro I can tell you that it’s the pain that causes lack of sleep, not visa-versa. I can’t sleep because I can’t get comfortable. Getting more sleep would not “cure” my fibro as that came first.
Good luck with your study though.
