Product Description
A must-have item for anyone in chronic pain, PAIN BANISHMENT, NOT PAIN MANAGEMENT describes a unique therapy. It is drugless and non-invasive and relieves pain in patients for whom nothing else has worked. PAIN BANISHMENT contains three parts. First is Dr. Donald Rhodes’ fascinating journey from his first RSD patient through the development of his unique treatment, to which more than 90% of patients respond. The majority of them eventually become pain free. Next, several patients tell their own stories. If you suffer from chronic pain, you will recognize yourself in their accounts and will be encouraged by their praises of Dr. Rhodes, their Miracle Man. Finally, you will read a technical explanation of the basic causes of chronic pain. This book exists because Dr. Rhodes’ patients kept begging him to write a book so others could learn about this fantastic doctor and his treatments.

I highly recommend Pain Banishment, Not Pain Management to anyone suffering from chronic pain. The book is easy to read, explains how Dr. Rhodes developed his treatment system, and contains patient stories that cover the pain spectrum from RSD to migraines to fibromyalgia, and beyond. Although my story is not in the book, I know his treatments work, because I was his patient in 2003. After an injury, I experienced such disabling pain that I could no longer work. Months of conventional therapy, including multiple pain medications, did nothing to ease my pain. When doctors wanted to use epidurals, I refused. I knew about Dr. Rhodes and decided to give him a try before I had anything invasive. During his treatments, it took me about six weeks to get off my meds. After that, my pain gradually diminished for a couple of weeks and then suddenly let up. I like this book because you really get to know Dr. Rhodes in Part One, since it is written just the way he talks. It also explains his treatment methodology without cluttering up the book with details that change as he constantly upgrades his approach. It helps you understand what to expect when you arrive at his clinic. The patient stories show you the range and severity of pain syndromes that can be treated and give you hope that help exists for you. And the technical information at the back of the book offers the rationale for the cause of chronic pain. I would urge anyone in chronic pain to try this non-invasive treatment system before letting anyone cut, heavily medicate, sever nerves, implant nerve stimulators or morphine pumps, amputate, or otherwise mutilate your body in the quest to ease pain that only becomes worse from such maltreatments. If you want relief from chronic pain, I urge you to try this method first, not last.

I was very impressed with the information in this book, Pain Banishment not Pain Management. I didn’t have to spend days reading it because it was such an enjoyable and easy book to understand. The information from Dr. Rhodes was invaluable to me. I have known RSD for 20+ years and with this information, I found that I understood even better the way pain effects the body. I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the constant patience, understanding, knowledge and care of Dr. Rhodes. The book helps to understand pain and the suffering people endure and also the strength of the human spirit. I highly recommend this book of information and encouraging stories. Cathy

It doesn’t contain any do-it-yourself instructions you could follow. It does have an interesting story from the doctor about the path to his present success, good patient stories, and a 17 page technical discussion.
My suggestion is to go to the doctors website [...] if you have some pain you want to defeat.

I didn’t believe a word of this when I first heard of the book. It sounded like a sci-fi hoax, or worse, some hokey cult.
Well, it’s time to eat a little crow (pass the salt). This book is revolutionary, and at least 15 years ahead of traditional Western Medicine. The book details, in easy to follow terms and situations, the real-life exploits of one crazy doctor in Texas who is more of a modern day Da Vinci than a messianic healer. He has studied the various arts of medicine and found a breakthrough for ailments that far exceed anything written about in this book. Real-world testimonials and patient stories are presented here, and the book is short enough to get to the point, challenge your way of thinking, and demand that you test the doctor’s theories, or live in pain. Doc Rhodes is a genuine Texas pioneer who somehow got born into the wrong era. His **highly successful** unorthodox treatments to maladies that have modern physicians stumped challenges our very belief in the unassailable virtue of modern science. This is cutting edge stuff described in plain old wholesome terms, with a few pages of fancy medical charts and references at the end that I am smart enough to know is way over my head; I didn’t even bother trying to figure the details out. I will leave those few pages for the people who have gone to school for this.
When I say that, “This is the future of medicine,” some will scoff and laugh now, and in 2-3 generations I will be seen as a visionary, and early prognosticator of the advancements in medicine in the 21st century. Personally, I DON’T CARE. As another famous Texan once said “Read my lips:” I have no dog in this hunt. I know this man is a genius. I know his work is undervalued, except by his patients, and I also know that once people DO read this book and get results from this man’s labors, you will not be able to get an appointment with him unless your name begins with Oprah, or ends with Trump.
Don’t complain because you didn’t believe it when you read this review. This book is already changing lives, but this book barely scratches the surface of what these new techniques can accomplish, and what this new school of thought implies. We need ten men like Doc Rhodes, and we need them all working around the clock, in different fields of medicine, learning just how far these new techniques can reach. We need more comparative analysis. But for right now, we have this book to show us what one man in Texas is doing to help humanity. After reading this book you will probably take a good hard look at your life and wonder what you are doing for the world around you. I know I did.
Thanks for reading.

Everyone should read this book because if you are not suffering from pain today, you could be tomorrow. None of us knows when some unexpected event will plunge us into a torturous world of agony from which there seems to be no escape. Those already in pain need to learn about a treatment used since the 1990′s that has rescued thousands of people from their pain. Those pain free need to know where to go first, not last, if they develop chronic pain. This treatment will save them money, time, and countless months or years of suffering. The only problem is that to be treated, you have to travel to Texas. Those who can travel will be grateful that they did. Those who can’t travel should lobby everyone they know who has money or influence to fund large scale studies on this methodology so that it can be brought into the main stream of modern medicine and made available to everyone everywhere. It is that good.
I know. I had this treatment after being told my chronic pain was untreatable. Conventional had treatments failed miserably, and I fell into despair when I thought my normal life was over. But Dr. Rhodes dispatched my pain with his machine, and I have been grateful ever since. While in treatment, I met many other patients at various stages of recovery, and I heard their stories, which were similar to mine. Failed treatments until they found Dr. Rhodes.
This book is a fascinating read. It takes you through Dr. Rhodes’ journey
from conventional medicine to innovative procedures on the cutting edge of technology. Research demonstrates solid support for the efficacy of his type of treatments, and does he ever get results. The patient stories in the book are a compelling collection of the agonies of people who refused to give up hope and found their answer in a single doctor in South Texas.
Let me repeat. Everyone should read this book because you never know when you are a loved one may need this information. Find it before pain finds you.
